Embracing the KAUST Research Attributes of Excellence, Impact and Attitude we work in a collaborative, positive, open and transparent way to understand KAUST Research community needs and provide appropriate solutions through the organization and optimization of resources, processes, tools that support research at scale and amplify its impact across KAUST.

Core Responsibilities


  • The Research Services for KAUST researchers and their collaborators by providing administrative and contractual support to KAUST researchers who are applying for, negotiating and managing internal and external funding, as well as, providing support for training and networking through workshops and conference
  • The oversight of the budget process across all operational/functional areas within the Research and provides financial information for strategic decision making to the VPR and the Research Management team with planning and analysis of data
  • Advising and supporting the Research office and Research Centers on organizational efficiency and effectiveness, identification of potential gaps, and improvement of current administrative processes.
  • Research Communication by ensuring timely and visually appealing dissemination of KAUST Research outcomes.
  • Supporting the community of KAUST postdocs and researchers to ensure a conducive environment where postdocs and researchers can advance their research experience and support their career development 
  • Advancing the international standing of KAUST by facilitating nomination of faculty members for research awards and prizes, fellowships and other honors.
  • Coordinating the KAUST regulatory framework for the responsible conduct of research.
